[EVENT] Fall Sit Spot Series #1
Wellness is hosting a series of nature outings with sit spots from September to November! Our first event in the series will take place on Sunday, September 27, 5:30 - 7:30 PM, in the East Side San Jose area. Exact location will be shared upon registration at the following link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/SitSpotF26 We are doing our best to ensure that we choose trails that are highly accessible! Here are some other details:
🌞 What exactly is a sit spot, you ask? During these events, we will be moving through local parks & trails while intermittently engaging in 5-10 minute “sit spots.” The practice of sit spots allows us to take a breather and engage in mindfulness as we attune our minds and bodies to the sights, sounds, smells, and feelings that our surroundings provide us!
⭐ This series is for adults 18+ and free for all who attend. Light snacks & beverages will be provided. Please let us know if you have any allergies, dietary restrictions, and/or any accessibility needs using the registration form.
🤩 Feel free to bring a journal, stim toys, and anything else that would enhance your experience!
🌱 If you have any questions or concerns, please email lgbtqwellness@fcservices.org. We look forward to be intentionally in nature together!
